Monday July 27th Malham Cove, Malhamdale, Yorkshire Dales National Park. The 80m high amphitheatre formed where a water, helped by frost action, cut back the hillside in the ice age. It became dru when the ground thawed, enableing rainwater to seep through the limestone. The Pavements: The Pavements are an expanse of limestone o the top of Malham falls. The next one to fall in was me. When Katie and I had a paddle, Dad fell in the water. On the way back along the other side of the river we had a swim. I was the first one in after a lot of persuasion I finally went in. Friday August 7th Today we went to Wray Castle and saw seven steam-boats!A few weekends earlier they had got forty one on the lake!
